I am a qualified criminal barrister able to represent you on a range of matters.  Having worked with the main prosecuting agencies in NZ for many years I am really well placed to be able to provide you with the best legal advice for any number of situations you or a family member may be facing.

I have a PAL3 legal aid classification which means that I can represent you for any and all of the following on legal aid:

  • Offences with a maximum penalty of up to 20 years imprisonment;

  • Sentencing indication and sentencing hearings;

If you have been charged with serious violence, or sexual related crimes, drug charges, assault charges, domestic charges, drink driving, careless driving, injury, dangerous driving reckless driving, I can help you.  I am able to advise and apply for you for a reduced disqualification and sometimes no disqualification at all.  Some cases are able to be discharged without conviction.

I am able to advise and represent you in Court and also represent your best interests when dealing with the police and Crown for fineable and infringement offences through to very serious offending.

Legal aid

If you have been charged with an offence of more than 10 years you can choose the lawyer to represent you.  I am able to accept your instruction in this case.

 

Private instruction 

I am also able to represent you if you do not qualify for legal aid.  In some cases I can receive direct instructions from you, and of course am able to receive your instructions if you have an instructing solicitor.
